Volunteers keep the band activities running. Thanks for your help.
All parents of band and colorguard students are expected to volunteer a minimum of 5 hours this year per family. Many of you will generously volunteer many more than this. Every parent is asked to please complete the background check as it is GISD policy that all volunteers be cleared before their event.
Online Signup
We are using the VolunteerSpot web site for online sign-up for volunteer activities. This site works like a “paper” sign up sheet in that you can see open spots and select the ones that work for you. It also adds the benefit that you can do this at anytime on the web and with your own personal calendar handy. The site uses your email address for sign-up and will also send you reminders ahead of activities.
When you select one of the volunteer links below, you’ll need to follow a few steps to sign-up
- You’ll be prompted to enter an email address.
- An invitation to sign up will be sent to that email address to confirm it is valid.
- The email contains a link to the sign up sheet calendar for that volunteer activity.
- Select days and slots on the calendar to sign up.
- You may use the email link to return at anytime.
If you need any help, contact Mary Odom or use the email volunteer@georgetowneagleband.org
Feed the Band Directors.
We are soliciting volunteers to help with lunch for the band staff during marching camp while they stay on campus with the kids.
Concession Stand Volunteer
The Georgetown Eagle Band along with the Performing Arts Alliance is responsible for running the concession stand at the high school stadium. We prepare and sell food and drink items on the home side of the stadium. Each section of the band is required to cover concession stand duties for at least one Thursday and one Friday game per season. Please sign up for the games that are assigned to your child’s instrument section.
