REMINDERS:

- Make sure you check the rehearsal schedule and go to your scheduled rehearsals with your accompanist. Also, if you have not done so already, bring a check for your accompanist fee to your next rehearsal.
- If you have not done so already, make sure you bring me an original score to your solo with the measures numbered!
- Be on time to your sectional and class rehearsals. We have had too many tardies in the last couple weeks(WE sectionals start at 7:15, WS and SB sectionals start at 7:30 and class starts at 8:30

- Come to class with your parts prepared. Rehearsal is not individual practice time. This is our time to improve as an ensemble.

- Make sure you are bringing your tuners to rehearsal. As we move forward through concert season we will be concentrating more on perfect intonation.

- Number your measures on all of your UIL peices. There will be a grade taken on Tuesday(WE and SB) and Wednesday(WS).
Let’s have another great week!!

Congrats to the Color Guard on another successful weekend of competition! The JV guard placed 3rd in their class and the Varsity placed 5th in their class. Way to go ladies! Congratulations to you and your wonderful directors.

Here are some reminders for the week:

- Students will begin rehearsals with their accompanists this week for solo & ensemble. The accompanist fees are $40 for a class 1 and $30 for a class 2. Please make your payments out to your accompanist(not GHS Band)

- Wind Symphony: We will have our first Symphony Orchestra rehearsal tomorrow 4-5:30 in Yellow. Make sure you have your parts for Quest for the Grail and Celebration Overture. If you have not received your folder, please see Mrs. Powers at some point tomorrow. Also, we will meet at 6:45 in Band Hall 2 to warm up. Please enter BH2 through the outside entrance and not through BH1(Their will be a meeting going on at that time). The dress is Concert Black.

- Please join us for the Band Booster meeting tomorrow night at 6:30. At the conclusion of the meeting the Wind Symphony will be giving a special February Concert in BH1. The students have been working extremely hard and would definitely appreciate a great audience.

-Tuesday night we will be hosting the Bach Factory Tour in BH1. They will be showcasing their entire line of brass instruments so brass players bring your mouthpeice and come check out all of their amazing products!

- Due to the Bach factory tour the Wind Symphony rehearsal on Tuesday afternoon will be cancelled.

- The TMEA annual conference is being held in San Antonio this Wednesday-Saturday so Mrs. Stevenson and myself will be out on Thursday and Friday. Please contact Mr. Leach with any questions.
