UIL Results – Red Poppy Parade
The Georgetown High School Eagle Band continues its longstanding tradition of excellence! The Wind Symphony (GHS Varsity Band) this morning received straight ones all the way across from all judges. On Wednesday, Ms. Marino’s Wind Ensemble received 1s on stage and 1s in the SR room. Also on Wednesday, Ms. Frost’s NGC Honor Band received 1s on stage and 2s in the SR room. We are so proud of all the kids… what a great concert season we have had! With the varsity band making a 1st division in Concert and Sightreading, and the marching band making a first division in marching… the GHS Band continues its tradition of being among the elite bands in the State by receiving a Texas UIL “Sweepstakes” Band Award. Congratulations, band students!!! All your hard work and diligent practice has certainly paid off!
Our next big event as an entire band will be this Saturday, April 24th for the Red Poppy Parade.
